I have bought new nibs for my tablet pen. And a replacement button thingy too. Finally.

Thar be Christmas shopping that needs doing this weekend. And cleaning too. Also, this was me at work today.

I really wanted to go home.

You know what's awesome? Going out to dinner with your parents (just them, no other siblings) just to listen to them bicker for the entire meal. Fuuuun. -_-;

So it was raining like whoa this morning. Like 'I should've taken an Ark to work' rain, but it's let up now. Blaaaaarg.

People came into the studio dressed up for Halloween today. The most notable of which was John (the president) dressed as Kathy Davis. Wig, high heels, skirt and everything. It was hilarious. XD I took pictures, but I haven't had the chance to upload them yet.

... I think I may be getting more than temporary work out of this. John  told me on Tuesday that he wanted to see if they could find something permanent there for me, and today he told me that I'd have to come in dressed up next year. I don't think it hurts to be hopeful with talk like that~

There was pumpkin carving at my house today. It's fairly easy to guess which one is mine. XD

Got a call from Kathy Davis Studios on Friday. They want me to come in and do some temporary work on a project for American Greetings, starting tomorrow morning. It's only supposed to be two or three weeks worth of work, but we'll see. So I'm at home for a while. Public transportation to the studio would include the Regional Rail, two or three different buses, a hell of a lot of walking and over ten dollars and three hours traveling time each way, so it's waaaay easier just to be at home and catch a ride with my brothers on their way to school in the morning.

Aside from the paying job part of the deal, I'm kinda happy to be going back again. Not the usual type of work I like to do, but there's nice people and a nice environment. Not like I'll be making actual art or anything anyway. Just scanning and dropping things in place. Easy stuff while I keep looking for something more permanent.


... Also, Cody is growing fast. He's kinda fat now. XD I need to take pictures and post them for you guys.

My sister's supposed to be coming around soon so we can hang out and get something to eat, but she's having some car troubles, so I guess I'll have to wait and see. Never mind. Looks like no sister hanging out for me. *sigh*

ANYWAYS.

That job interview I mentioned the other day? Yeah, never happened. I dressed myself up nice, was all properly prepped for the interview aaaaand... the guy never showed up. No phone call or message of any kind for me. That's right, the man who was supposed to be conducting my interview didn't bother to come. The two ladies working there told me he was taking the day off and that they knew nothing about the interview.

*dies*

I think that when I show up for an interview and my future boss doesn't, I should automatically be considered qualified for the job. >|

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII saw 9 on Wednesday. I don't give shit what any reviews might say about it. It was made of win. I won't spoil it because that would be terribly mean... I need to go see it again. *twitch*

Also watched Ruth and Jess screenprint t-shirts today. It boggled me very much. o_o

I am le tired.

... I went home to discover a nine-week-old puppy had been brought into my house. >_> Wasn't expecting that. It was my mom's birthday present, and while I can't say I'm happy about the dog-count in the house going back up to three... god damn is it adorable. *_*

It's a Norwegian Elkhound just like the one we had a few years ago before it died. I think they got it from the same breeder and everything, though that's not surprising considering how rare it is to see the breed around here. He hasn't been officially named yet because we want to give him a few days to chill so we can see his real personality first... though the household seems to be leaning towards "Dillan". He has officially been named "Cody".

So... haven't touched this journal in about three months..... And now the situation has been remedied. 8D

Perhaps there will be art later. And news of things, but right now it's 3:30 in the morning and I'm feeling lazy.

Okaaaaaaaaaay. So, I hate my laptop and desperately need a new one. I did, however, find a power cord in the apartment that works that no one is using (thanks Birdy!), and so my computer can live for a little while longer. Huzzah!

Going home for the weekend. Will hopefully draw many blobby things and apply for several jobs. *determined eye glint*

Note to self: Find and watch episode five of FMA:B. You'll get get behind if you don't do it soon and then you'll get too annoyed to catch up.

I got sooooo much work done today. I'm suuuuuuper jazzed about it. I really should go to bed, 'cause I'm planning to to go in early and work tomorrow. I'll probably work 'til around four and then head home for the weekend. Aly wants to do wedding stuff, so, yeah.

So,here's the finished versions of the cover, page 9, and page twelve. I'm sure they'll gets some tweeks between now and the end, but this is pretty much how they're gonna stay (the text hasn't been added on the cover and page nine yet).

Pulled some Death Note thingies out of thin air, 'cause I'm magic like that. The files just appeared on my computer, finished and with all the layers neatly labeled. Ruth, remind me to give them to you tomorrow night when I get home. Might not be 'til late though. Enjoy this preview.

Today was a productive day. It would've been more productive if I'd woken up at nine like I originally intended instead of noon, but whatever. I got all my current pages scanned in and my cover completely inked. I'm gonna go in tomorrow too and see what I can get finished. None of the pages are nearly as large or as complicated as the cover, so they shouldn't take as long. I might even be able to start laying some flat color if I get up early and work fast enough.
